Welcome, My name is John Watson, Head of Anmod Dracan, a living history re-enactment society based in Redcar in the North East of England.
We are Multi-period re-enactment Society, specialising in the courts of some of
the Norman Kings and Queens from Matilda to Edward the Third, but also able to
present displays covering the Romano-British, Anglo-Saxon, Viking, Norman, Late
Norman, and Plantagenet periods.

If you are interested in a little taster of what sort of activities are demonstrated at our events, we now have a selection of
seven short (.WMV) type videos to be found on the "Video Gallery" section listed at the left of the screen.
The aim of our Society is to both Entertain and Educate, and to accomplish this
task, we have a range of experts researching into and giving active
demonstrations of different fields within our periods of history, for more
information on this please select "Living History" from the list.
During our displays we also give highly active Combat Demonstrations, using the appropriate weapons and styles for the period. For more information select "Combat
Display"
We have developed a flexible, friendly, and above all, interactive approach to our
displays which allows the public to come in, and feel that they have truly opened
a doorway into the past.
At many displays we work with other societies to provide a greater wealth of resources, these groups
may be contacted separately, and are listed, with a brief description, on our contacts page.
